Liberton and Gilmerton

The total available for Liberton and Gilmerton Community Grants Fund (CGF) in 2025/26 is £29,701.75. The amount remaining in this area will be updated shortly. The fund will open again in mid-August and the deadline for the next funding round will be in late September 2025.

Awards made in 2025/26

Round 1

  • Drum Field Archers: Awarded £3,279 for ‘Archery for All on Target’ (equipment and training).
  • WorkPlus Play Hub: Awarded £4,800 to support working parents and their children, fostering community well-being (equipment and furniture).
  • Gracemount Mansion Development Trust: Awarded £1,956 to enhance local spaces for the community through the provsion of new benches and bins.
  • Friends of Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park LNR: Awarded £450 to pay for equipment to enable groups to litter pick in Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park.
  • Transition Edinburgh South: Awarded £2,000 for security cameras, skip hire, utilities improvements, and materials at Gracemount Community Garden.
  • Community Renewal Trust: Awarded £2,545 to provide employability support at Gilmerton Community Centre, addressing a local service gap and building relationships to inform future community-led work.
  • Polish Scouting Association 67DH Regle: Awarded £3,380 to purchase durable tents, tools and kitchen equipment that will support scouting camps and year round educational activities for young people.
  • Edinburgh South Cricket Club: Awarded £2,768 for ‘Let's Give Sport Back to Girls’ (coaching fees and venue hire).
  • Teens+ (part of Capella Charity) : Awarded £2,609 for enhancing wellbeing and creativity through inclusive facilities at Teens+ (equipment and artist costs).
  • Trees and Seas Outdoor Adventures: Awarded £935 for ‘Sea the Change’ project.
  • Edinburgh Rays Baseball Club: Awarded £4,980 to pay for new baseball club equipment.
