The total remaining for South West Community Grants Fund (CGF) in 2025/26 is £19,185.74. The fund will open again in mid-August and the deadline for the next funding round will be in late September 2025.

Awards made in 2025/26

Round 1

  • Youth Vision: Awarded £1,85 the Youth Vision summer programme of outdoor learning and fun.
  • Street Soccer Group: Awarded £4,217 for weekly football sessions with migrants and other marginalised people from communities in and around the Sighthill area.
  • Big Hearts Community Trust: Awarded £2,050 for ‘Friday Night Lights (FNL)’, a Big Hearts initiative for young people aged 11 to 15 at risk of engaging in anti-social behaviour and who would benefit from a safe, supportive space to build positive connections and make better life choices.
  • The BIG Project: Awarded £5,000 for the GROW volunteer programme, which empowers disadvantaged young people through the provision of skills, qualifications and mentorship opportunities to break the cycle of poverty and help them become leaders in their communities.
  • Parents at Longstone School (PALS): Awarded £2,489 to develop outdoor learning areas and boost garden biodiversity at Longstone Primary School.
  • EDINBURGH FORGE CIC: Awarded £4,189 to pay for a new dust extraction system for Edinburgh Forge community workshop at Gorgie Community Farm.
  • Friends of Hailes Quarry Park: Awarded £2,379 for park events and activities including a new covered structure, materials, volunteer expenses and venue hire.
  • B Healthy together: Awarded £1,875 as a contribution towards the annual Broomhouse Street Party, which will host family-friendly entertainment, free food and local information stalls.
